“Banyak Jalan Menuju Net Zero”


In preparation for COP-26, FPCI together with the Embassies of UK, Italy and Sweden in Jakarta are pleased to host a nationwide online video competition open for Indonesian youth. This video competition aims to enhance awareness of climate change as well as encourage acts of kindness for the environment among the Indonesian public.

The #Indonesia4Climate Video Competition highlights the theme, “Banyak Jalan Menuju Net Zero” (definition: Many roads lead to net-zero). This theme was chosen to reflect on the abundant amount of actions, whether big or small, people can do in order to make the world a greener (and better) place.





Competition Timeline

1st June 2021: Launch of the Video Competition

1st June – 20th August 2021: Video Submissions Open

20th August 2021: Deadline

21th August – 3rd September 2021: Judging Process

10th September 2021: Virtual Ceremony and Winner Announcement

17th – 19th September 2021*: Trip to Labuan Bajo

Participant Guidelines

Each video submission should span within 4 minutes and should consist of your act(s) of kindness for the environment – whether it be as big as starting a movement to combat the climate emergency or as simple as a lifestyle change in your daily routine to better the environment. The video must highlight the importance of net-zero emissions for the future of Indonesia and humanity, and your solutions to achieve this goal.

The video competition is open to Indonesian citizens from any background, currently living in Indonesia, between the ages of 18 to 40. The competition will use Instagram as its only platform of submission and participants must register their video on the registration form at bit.ly/indo4climate. 

You may submit your video by posting on your own Instagram account using the competition hashtag #Indonesia4Climate and #All4ClimateItaly2021 and tag @fpcindo @ukinindonesia @italyinjakarta @swedenjakarta @connect4climate. Make sure your Instagram account is not set to Private. To confirm your participation in the competition, register your video at the competition’s official registration form at bit.ly/indo4climate. 

The winners will be chosen by FPCI and the Embassies of UK, Italy, and Sweden in Jakarta. All Top 10 Finalists will receive a signed certificate and various prizes. The 1st Prize Winner will be given the chance to go on a sailing trip to Labuan Bajo with a friend!




Submission Criteria

The videos submitted should adhere to the following criteria:

  • Be submitted by an Indonesian citizen living in Indonesia aged 18 to 40 years;
  • Be submitted by posting the video on your Instagram account using the hashtag #Indonesia4Climate and #All4ClimateItaly2021;
  • Participants must tag @fpcindo @ukinindonesia @italyinjakarta @swedenjakarta @connect4climate in their video submission;
  • Participants must ensure that your account is set to ‘Public’ so that the video can be accessed;
  • Participants must register your video at bit.ly/indo4climate.
  • Be 1:00 to 4:00 minutes in duration;
  • Be in English or in Bahasa Indonesia;
  • An individual is free to submit more than one video;
  • Group submissions are not eligible;
  • The video resolution should not be less than 480P.



Topics to be Raised

In light of the theme “Banyak Jalan Menuju Net Zero”, participants are encouraged to highlight the problems arising from climate change and what they can do or have done that acts as a solution to said problem. Videos may raise the following topics:

  • Global temperature changes;
  • Decarbonization;
  • Waste management;
  • Nature and wildlife conservation;
  • Energy conservation and renewable energy;
  • Green products;
  • Air pollution;
  • Marine pollution;
  • Recycling;
  • Sustainable living; among many others.

What is #Indonesia4Climate?

#Indonesia4Climate Video Competition is a nationwide online video competition hosted by Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia in cooperation with the Embassies of UK, Italy, and Sweden in Jakarta in preparation for COP-26 (the 26th UN Climate Change Conference).


Is there a registration fee?

No, this video competition is free of charge. All you need to do is fill in the registration form at and upload your video to your Instagram account with the hashtag #Indonesia4Climate.


Who is eligible to enter this video competition?

The video competition is open to Indonesian citizens from any background, currently living in Indonesia, between the ages of 18 to 40.


Can I work in a group?

No, videos can only be submitted by an individual. However, there is no limit to how many videos you can submit.


How many winners will be selected? What is the prize?

The committee will select the 10 best videos. There will also be prizes for the first 10 submissions. Winners will receive the following prizes:

What is an Early Bird Prize?

Who will be the judges?

The jury panel will consist of FPCI, the UK Embassy in Jakarta, the Italian Embassy in Jakarta, and the Swedish Embassy in Jakarta.


What is the judging criteria for the videos?

The videos will be assessed based on Overall Impact (50%), Creativity (20%), Organization (10%), Production (5%), and Criteria (5%). 


Will I get a certificate by joining this program?

Only the Top 10 winners will obtain a certificate for this program. 


What language should my video be in?

Your video may be in either Bahasa Indonesia or English. 


What is the main theme of the video competition?

The main theme of the #Indonesia4Climate Video Competition is “Banyak Jalan Menuju Net Zero” (definition: many roads lead to net-zero). This theme was chosen to reflect on the abundant amount of actions, whether big or small, people can do in order to make the world a greener (and better) place.

The video must highlight the main problem the world is facing, and the solution you have chosen to tackle that problem. Example videos could surround global warming, waste management, nature and wildlife conservation, energy conservation, green products, air pollution, marine pollution, recycling, sustainable living, etc.


Is there a time limit for the video?

Yes, the video should be no less than 1:00 minute and should not exceed 4:00 minutes.


What video quality should my video be?

The quality of your video should not be less than 480p. Higher resolution videos are always recommended.


Where do I submit my video?

Firstly, upload your video to your Instagram feed, and make sure to tag @fpcindo @ukinindonesia @italyinjakarta @swedenjakarta @connect4climate on your video submission post and use the hashtags #Indonesia4Climate and #All4ClimateItaly2021.

Then, go to bit.ly/indo4climate and fill in your personal details along with the link to your video that has been posted on your Instagram account. If you have not uploaded your video yet, you may fill in the registration form and upload your video at a later time. (**Make sure your Instagram account is not set to Private).
