In collaboration with Universitas Airlangga, FPCI is creating an international network of experts, think tanks, and foreign policy practitioners from middle power countries. The aim is to promote and spread knowledge on the role of middle powers in international relations and the various strategies they employ in navigating a divided world. We were moved to establish the MPSN the face of the increasing involvement of middle powers in international politics and in resolving global issues. We believe that middle powers have unique characteristics and enjoy strategic advantages in tackling global challenges. We see a trend where middle powers are showing greater interest in contributing to the settlement of global problems. This trend is highly evident in groupings like BRICS and MIKTA.
