The AOIP Vision Group Conference is an international symposium which brought together delegates from each ASEAN Member State as well as a number of Dialogue Partners to discuss the operationalization of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP). This forum acted as a platform for deliberations on the direction and realization of cooperation in four key areas under the AOIP framework: maritime, connectivity, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and economy.
Participating experts and researchers collaborated to (1) formulate policy recommendations for the materialization of the Indo-Pacific and (2) establish four Working Groups focusing on maritime cooperation, connectivity, SDGs, and other economic collaboration.
In 2025, the AOIP Vision Group Conference was recognized in the Joint Statement of the 28th ASEAN-Japan Summit as an initiative which contributes to the shared objectives and principles of the AOIP and the FOIP.
